Phil's interest in the antique and
collectible marketplace began at the age of twelve when he discovered that he
could buy an item for 25 cents at a garage sale and sell it at a local flea
market for $10. Phil has been President of TIAS.com since April of 1995. TIAS enables merchants and collectors to buy and sell antiques and collectibles online. The site serves over 100,000 unique customers a day. During his tenure at TIAS, Mr. Davies also acted as Chief Operations Officer (COO) for Collectify LLC from 2001 through early 2002. Collectify develops and distributes software for collectors to assist them in cataloging their collections. From 1979–1983, Phillip Attended UCSD as a communications major. After college he worked as a photojournalist for the "Los Angeles Times" and "Newsday" in New York and Long Island. He has also done extensive work domestically and abroad that has appeared in publications such as "Time," "Newsweek," "U.S. News and World Report" and many other newspapers and magazines across the U.S. |
